Borage 3

I love the contrast between the smooth petals of a lovely blue and the fuzzy, or hairy sepals, stems, and buds. To interpret that in this quilt, I used a random width zigzag stitch and a slightly variegated thread to quilt around those fuzzy elements. The buds are made of an amazing rayon fabric I’ve had for years, waiting for just the right quilt. Borage is a bee plant, and an old herb. The flowers are edible.
