Between some old wooden houses along the quay in Bergen are some small walkways, warehouses, and shops. Timber construction is a favorite of mine, whether home in New England or on a teaching trip to Norway. The "rain" is straight rows of machine quilting, stitched from the back of the quilt after the rest of the quilting was done from the front.
